Watch on demand: Shooglenifty: A Night For Angus

Essential viewing for Shoogle fans who were not able to attend the band’s Celtic Connections tribute to their mesmeric front man Angus R Grant back in January. If you were one of the lucky ones who made the gig we hope you’re going to want to experience the band’s performance all over again.

Featuring 90 minutes of Shooglenifty’s performance from the already legendary tribute concert to Angus at the Glasgow Royal Concert Hall on 21 January 2017, this video includes performances from guest fiddlers Adam Sutherland (Treacherous Orchestra), Charlie McKerron (Capercaillie), Duncan Chisholm, Eilidh Shaw (The Poozies), Gavin Marwick and Laura Wilkie (Fat Suit), plus many other members of the extended Shoogle family.

Proceeds from the video will contribute to the completion of a documentary about Angus and the band, with a percentage from each transaction going to Cancer Research’s work into prevention and treatment of oesophageal cancer.

“Shooglenifty and the Grant family have created the finest, most joyful tribute possible to their departed brother” – Neil McFadyen, Folk Radio
“The only thing missing from this most sociable, inclusive party was the guest of honour, yet his spirit seeped through every second of the proceedings” – Fiona Shepherd, The Scotsman
