Highland born composer, Flute, Whistle, Piano and Bouzouki player James Bauld released his debut album Where I Belong, showcasing the wooden flute earlier this year. Having studied at Plockton’s National Centre of Excellence in Traditional Music, then the University of the Highlands of Islands, James is now based in Glasgow. James’s solo project focuses on newly composed traditional style Scottish Flute melodies and takes inspiration from different Celtic Flute traditions including Scottish, Irish, Spanish and French. When performing as a trio James is accompanied by Euan McLaughlin on Bouzouki and Dan Brown on Piano.
