Trad Session at the Tron Theatre, Glasgow 8th May

Change of plan for this Sun, 8th 2-4.15pm, we know some folk will be studying for their exams & we wish them the very best of luck☘ but others not involved in exams were still keen for a session- so the very talented fiddler Louise Hunter will lead this weeks session, please spread the word, all welcome – Sun lunch menu with a roast will be on, or just come for a tune or the craic, it’s free…
This trad session @ the Tron is a session with a bit of a difference, a film crew who would like to film some of the session as it goes on this Sun 2-4.15 so everything as normal, with the usual space for families to watch/listen grab a coffee/lunch all as it normally happens at one of the sessions, the only difference is that they would film some of the session for an episode of the American reality tv show

Little people, big world http://www.tlc.com/tv-shows/little-people-big-world/

Its about a family of little people and their struggles in life. It’s on sky channel TLC

Its filmed by Discovery channel, with TLC and RAW doing the filming work – they are filming season 11 (I think) and they are coming to Scotland, and would love to film a traditional music session etc n loved the idea of our youth session.

The show gets massive numbers in the states

2.3 million people viewed it for the season finale last year.

There will just be 4 film crew in the room two cameras, a sound engineer and the director.

But I can’t stress enough that the session n families should all just come and do what they normally do, the crew too will have lunch there and enjoy the music so hopefully it’ll just be an enjoyable regular session with a few extra folk! Spread the word! 👍🏻
