Tinto Summer School 2025 – What a week!

Holding image

What a week we had at Tinto Summer School! We were so lucky to welcome a wonderful group of young people to Wiston Lodge. It was joyous. We spent the week learning music, making music, eating beautiful food, playing frisbee in Wiston Lodge grounds, dancing and singing.

The week ended with a brilliant tutor concert that really showed off the amazing talent we had with us. You can watch two highlights from the concert below – a fantastic dance featuring Josie Duncan, Heather Cartwright and Sophie Joint dancing to Flashdance by Mec Lir, and the Tinto Summer School song by Josie performed by all the tutors together.

Our brilliant tutors for 2025 were Sophy Joint (piano), Ciorstaidh Beaton (clarsach), Heather Cartwright (guitar), Josie Duncan (singing, songwriting), and Adam Sutherland (fiddle).

Save the Date! The dates for Tinto Summer School 2026 are 6-11th July. It would be great to see you there. Join the Hands Up for Trad newsletter to stay in touch and get all the information about next year’s school.
