The Musical Mile: Sport Relief 18th – 20th March 2016

sport-relief-logoFrom 18th – 20th March 2016 Sport Relief (A UK fundraising drive) will be back to raise money for charitable causes. 50% funding projects goes to the world’s poorest communities, and the other 50% is used to transform lives in the UK.

Hands Up for Trad are looking at ways for the traditional music scene to come together and raise money for Sport Relief. A couple of years ago we had an idea called The Musical Mile. We asked The National Youth Pipe Band of Scotland to march one mile (or 1km!) to raise money and they did an amazing job. We would like to get people / bands / musicians to do this again. It’s a lot of fun and you will be raising money for a good cause.

Is this something you would be interested in? Hands Up for Trad have nothing to do with money raised – everything goes direct to Sport Relief. We are just pushing the idea.
