The Castalia Podcast – Isla Ratcliff chats to Cape Breton musicians

Scottish fiddle player Isla Ratcliff has created a podcast series, ’’, which gives an insight into the traditional music scene in Cape Breton. Isla spent four wonderful months in Cape Breton in 2019, an experience that led her to create her debut album The Castalia (November 2021). It is the people behind Cape Breton music who make it so special. This is why Isla created this podcast series: to introduce you to the musicians she met in Canada, some of whom were involved in the making of her album. Her guests include Kyle MacNeil, Dawn and Margie Beaton, Paul Cranford, Chrissy Crowley and more. A new episode is released every Thursday. You can listen to the podcast series here: https://www.podfollow.com/castalia. You can find Isla’s album here: https://islaratcliff.bandcamp.com/album/the-castalia.
