School of Folk, Glasgow – Tues 9th, Weds 10th and Thurs 11th July 2019

John Somerville, Adam Sutherland, Calum MacCrimmon and Laura-Beth Salter have set up a new adult summer school – The School of Folk – and are running the first one this July.

School of Folk is a brand new summer event for adults based in the West End of Glasgow. In the morning sessions you will focus on technique and repertoire in your chosen instrument workshops, with a chance to use all of those skills in the School of Folk Orchestra in the afternoons. There will be sessions, a concert & ceilidh, pints, stovies, prize raffle and more.

Incorporating;

* Adam Sutherland’s school of Fiddle

* John Somerville’s squeeze-easy accordion sessions

* Calum MacCrimmon’s Whistle Workshop

* Laura Beth Salter’s Kitchen Mando meeting

£120 for 3 days tuition, tea, coffee and refreshments (Tues 9th, Weds 10th and Thurs 11th July 2019)
