Maryhill Burgh Halls (Glasgow) Gaelic workshops

Maryhill Burgh Halls Trust is delighted to host a new art programme this Autumn 2016, full of exciting workshops and classes for all ages and abilities. A wonderful range of artists offer a variety of workshops for children, young adults and adults to try out their crafty side, discover their voice, meet new friends and have fun!

Come and try Gaelic and traditional Scots and Irish song with award-winning Gaelic singer and choir leader Maeve Mackinnon. Beginners are very welcome! Participants will explore a wide variety of Gaelic and traditional songs and the history behind the songs. Easy to read phonetics sheets and translations are provided. Come along for a fun and welcoming experience!

Maeve’s workshops are on Saturday 8th October and Sunday 6th November and are available for families with children aged 10 years+. Prices per person per workshop are £5 or the Gaelic and traditional song workshops can be blocked booked for the same day at £8 per person. Join the musical fun in the beautifully refurbished Burgh Halls by visiting the Eventbrite page: http://mbhtartprogramme_children.eventbrite.co.uk.
