Hello Artists,
Made in Scotland Gigs is a new music strand of the Made in Scotland showcase.
Hosted in partnership with the Wide Days music convention, it takes place on 14 and 15 of August at La Belle Angele, Edinburgh. Each night, four acts based in Scotland, from across the genre spectrum, will showcase to a public and industry audience.
The event will help participating artists make connections with media and music business professionals, as well as with the international visitors that the Fringe brings to Edinburgh.

Offer
Selected artists will receive grants of £1,000 to cover the costs relating to their performance in terms of advance briefing, rehearsal, travel/accommodation and for the performance itself.
A limited budget is available on top of the £1,000 grant, for artists with additional costs arising from childcare or accessibility requirements. Moreover, acts traveling from outside the Central Belt can request a contribution towards travel and accommodation.
Details are outlined in the application form and the amount provided will be determined by Made In Scotland.
The Events
Two events will take place on the evenings of the 14 and 15 of August between 18:00-22:00 and will be programmed based on the final selection and genre. The nights will be promoted by Wide Days and Made In Scotland partners.
Alongside invited industry and media professionals, the shows will be listed on the Fringe website and tickets be available to the public through its box office. Each act will also be provided with a small guest list allocation.
There will be a pre-event online briefing on 17 July (17:00-20:00), as well as an in-person networking event on 14 or 15 August (16:00-18:00, final time tbc). Artists and/or a representative will be required to attend both (unless it coincides with a soundcheck).
