Royal Conservatoire of Scotland are: currently seeking an experienced Lecturer in Sound Technology to working our busy Production Department.
You are: someone who won’t be fazed by a demanding, intense and fast paced environment. You are someone who can support and mentor students.
You will: deliver specialist teaching in the area of sound reinforcement within a performing arts context on the exciting and highly successful undergraduate production programmes within the School of Drama, Dance Production and Screen. In addition you will contribute to the development of all of the relevant programme curricula across the Conservatoire, and to their methods of delivery. In addition to this, you will be required to contribute to the development of learning support material, methods and applications, including the examination and assessment of student work.
You must: be able to demonstrate experience of teaching at this level and have an understanding of the expectations of a Conservatoire education. Additionally you will have extensive experience as a sound engineer within the performance, live art or theatre sector and be able to demonstrate knowledge of a range or current sound consoles and software. Excellent interpersonal skills are essential, along with a strong team-working ethic. Flexibility and adaptability will be vital to this role.
