Launch of MG ALBA Scots Trad Music Awards 2016

logoWe are very excited to announce that we will be announcing the top 20 Scots Trad Albums of the Year and opening nominations for the MG ALBA Scots Trad Music Awards this Monday 3rd October live on Facebook!

If you would like to join us for the announcement in English and Gaelic visit Hands Up for Trad’s Facebook page at 11am on Monday 3rd October. Don’t worry if you are not free then as the video will be available afterwards for you to view.

The MG ALBA Scots Trad Music Awards will be back in Dundee’s Caird Hall on the 3rd December 2016. As usual it will be a fabulous night with great music, awards and lots of fun! Performers include Scott Wood Band, Songs of Separation, Wilma Kennedy, Halton Quartet, Mohsen Amini, Abercraig (young musicians from Tayside), Tryst (10 amazing pipers), Dallahan and more to be announced. There will also be a late night ceilidh after the Awards till 1am.

Tickets for this feast of music are an amazing £22 and are available here.

Once again we are very excited that the MG ALBA Scots Trad Music Awards will be available to watch worldwide via the BBC iPlayer between the hourse of 9pm and 11pm. You don’t have to be resident in the UK to watch it. It will also be available to listen to on BBC Radio Scotland at the same time.
