Land of the Ravens: Animated Film and Exhibition Launch (Thu 6 Oct: 6 – 8pm – film premiere 6.30)

Join the film makers and artist to celebrate the launch of this Festival exhibition, with music and stories in the Scottish Storytelling Centre, Edinburgh. A multiform exhibition with visual images, film animation, musical soundtrack and live storytelling inspired by the international folk tale Jack and the Two Ravens. The 1979 recording by the renowned storyteller Duncan Williamson of Argyll (1928-2007) was subsequently illustrated in a series of paintings by artist John Slavin and now made into an animated film Twa Ravens by John McGeoch with music by Jack Evans and Christine Martin. The exhibition with the film on continuous loop is on from 6 – 31st October.
