Job Opportunity: Comar General Manager, Mull Theatre And An Tobar

The General Manager role is a new and vital management position within the company, reporting to the Artistic Director and working alongside senior creative staff to secure resources for our high quality programme, while ensuring that our team of marketing, administrative, financial, venue and other staff are performing well and are supported in their own development.

The General Manager will liaise with and report to the Artistic Director as well as our Board of Directors and will be responsible for implementing the effective management, development, promotion and operation of Comar.

The General Manager will lead on operational, financial and HR matters, including a lead role in fundraising and increasing the financial security of Comar. The General Manager will oversee the timely drafting and approval of a new business plan for the period 2018-21, reporting to the AD and Board, and ensuring a strongly consultative, participatory, inclusive process for all staff and key partners.

The General Manager will also have responsibility for ensuring Comar’s compliance with all current legislation and the requirements of OSCR, and our funders and stakeholders.

Summary Terms and Conditions

The role is expected to be based primarily at Mull Theatre but to work flexibly across both venues and in other locations as required.

35 hours per week, exclusive of lunch breaks, to be worked flexibly ordinarily during the hours of 9am-6pm, Monday – Friday, but evening and weekend work may be required, in accordance with the responsibilities of the role.

28 days annual leave, inclusive of public holidays, to be taken in agreement with your line manager.
