How to… Ceilidh Workshops in Banchory and Glasgow

Join top teacher Claire Gullan for a two-day, mixed instrument workshop and learn the know-how on How To… Ceilidh!

ANY AGE WELCOME AT AN INTERMEDIATE LEVEL.

Think making new friends, relaxed group setting, tunes, banter, and getting your creative flow on…

Held over two days in the October holidays, the workshop will cover everything ceilidh: From learning the tunes and understanding how the music correlates with the dances, to setting up the PA and calling the dances

Notated music & mp3 audio of the tunes provided in advance!

Get all creative as we arrange the sets to sound interesting & have impact!

(If you attended the Glasgow ’19 summer workshop – these are different tunes & different dances – you’ll nearly have a full ceilidh of repertoire!)

Perform your sets at the finale ceilidh, 3pm on the second day, which all family and friends are invited to, to enjoy the tunes, dancing, and home baking and refreshments!

Any age welcome – Any instrument invited at an intermediate level.

“What a great 2 days! Met new folks & others I only knew through FB, learnt new tunes, got a much better understanding of how to put a ceilidh together, used my bass”
