HebCelt – the internationally acclaimed music festival held annually on the Isle of Lewis – has launched its much-anticipated day tickets for 2023.
From today, festival fans can snap up day passes for the Thursday, Friday or Saturday of the beloved Outer Hebridean event, which takes place between 12th – 15th July at Lews Castle in Stornoway.
With day tickets proving popular with HebCelt punters over the last 25 years, thousands are expected to fly out the door as locals and visitors alike secure their chance to see some of the brightest Scottish, UK and international talent and join the infamous family-friendly knees-up in the Western Isles.
Thursday’s headliners include folk quartet Fara, beloved Scottish singer Siobhan Miller and Radio 2 playlist regulars Skerryvore, who will bring the Thursday night to a spectacular close; while Friday will see performances from the likes of multi-award-winning power trio Talisk and Leodhsaich superstars Peat and Diesel.
The one-and-only Scottish duo The Proclaimers will bring the party to a close on Saturday night, with electronic celtic fusion outfit Niteworks and Orkney stomp sensations The Chair also set to play sensational sets on the festival’s final night.
The festival will also see the return of its jam-packed fringe programme, bringing activities for all the family to the streets and venues of Stornoway.
HebCelt Festival Director, Graham MacCallum, said: “Day tickets going on sale is another major milestone on the road to HebCelt 2023 and we know our audiences will be keen to get their hands on these passes. We’ve seen day tickets go out the door quickly in recent years and expect 2023 to be no different – with so many brilliant acts to choose from and something on the programme for everyone, we hope punters are feeling spoiled for choice. We’re well underway with all of our planning for the summer and we are really looking forward to bringing back another eco-friendly, warm and welcoming event, which places the local community at its heart, back to the castle green in Stornoway.”
Crowned Event of the Year for the third time at the MG Alba Scots Trad Music Awards 2022, and recently named one of the top 10 sustainable events in Europe, HebCelt will once again be significantly powered by locally-produced green hydrogen as it continues to enhance its commitment to sustainability and innovation.
HebCelt 2023 will take place on 12-15 July. The HebCelt 2023 Arena Programme is available to view atwww.hebceltfest.com/festival/artists.
