Have you read about FolkWaves – Hands Up for Trad’s free services for broadcasters?

At Hands Up for Trad’s FolkWaves we aim to get Scottish music into the hands of broadcasters around the world and promote it to a global audience.

If you work for a radio station, host a show on the internet or any other broadcasting medium you can register to join FolkWaves. If you are accepted for this service (we check every application to make sure they are from broadcasters) broadcasters have access to downloads of all the latest Scottish music on the site. We send out a weekly email (join here) with all the latest additions to the website. To download the music all you will have to do is to leave us some feedback on where you will be playing the track and then you can download the high quality MP3 to your computer to play on your programme.

We are also looking for musicians to upload their Scottish music! All you have to do is register and then upload one MP3 track with accompanying information about the track. Easy!

Check out the website at www.folkwaves.scot.
