Hands Up for Trad’s Women in Music and Culture 2026: Eunice Olumide MBE

Eunice Olumide

Hands Up for Trad’s Women in Music and Culture 2026 list has been announced to celebrate just some of the women working in Scotland.

Launched as part of International Women’s Day 2026, we shine the spotlight on 12 women who all contribute towards Scotland’s cultural landscape through their work. Read the 2026 list here.

Eunice Olumide MBE is Scotland’s first black supermodel, and a remarkable multihyphenate who has dedicated her career to social justice and equity. Holder of an MBE for services to Broadcasting, Arts and Charity, she has graced the pages of Vogue and Harper’s Bazaar and worked with Vivienne Westwood and Alexander McQueen. A BAFTA and ARIAS-nominated broadcaster, her screen credits include Star Wars, BBC’s Noughts and Crosses and a Netflix debut in The Outsiders. Founder of Olumide Galleries and Orun Films, she is also a best-selling author and V&A Design Champion. Her new podcast Level Up — launching with an unfiltered interview with First Minister John Swinney — promises frank conversations with people who shape the world.
