Events & Marketing Coordinator – The Famous Grouse Experience

An exciting vacancy has arisen for an Events & Marketing Coordinator based at The Famous Grouse Experience in Crieff. Reporting directly to Lesley Williamson, Operations Manager, this role will have responsibility for the effective coordination of all events at The Famous Grouse Experience, upselling on packages and menus provided by our caterers. You will have responsibility for all client communication from the initial enquiry through to ensuring the smooth running of the event and making sure all details are recorded in the events diary, after service care and development of the client relationship is essential. Another key element of the role is the coordination of the delivery of the marketing strategy, including PR, social media, donation and sponsorship activities as well as liaising closely with our external marketing agency.

Other key responsibilities of the role include:-
• Co-ordinating to ensure the highest quality standards of delivery are achieved for all events at The Famous Grouse Experience.
• Accurately and timely gather and communicate all relevant information between client, suppliers and all relevant departments of The Famous Grouse Experience
• Always working to resolve problems and seek to develop longer term solutions.
• Identifying leads, opportunities and referrals, following these opportunities through in order to maximise business potential and create new opportunities
• Developing effective communication, administrative systems and procedures
• Building excellent business relationships with key clients
• Promoting outstanding and exceptional customer service at all times
• Ensuring outstanding sales practice at all times ensuring that all transactions comply with company guidelines
• Being an excellent and outstanding ambassador for The Famous Grouse Experience.
• Keeping an evaluation log, recording success of marketing activities.
• Ensuring that the marketing expenditure log is kept up to date.
• Coordinating and attending monthly marketing meetings.

The successful candidate will have a flexible working approach coupled with excellent administrative and interpersonal skills. You will also be proactive and organised with a strong customer-orientated focus with the ability to perform under pressure to meet targets. Ideally you will have previous experience in a similar role and a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages is essential.

This permanent role is 40 hours per week working 5 days out of 7 days (the site is open from Monday to Sunday so there will be some weekend work required).
