Dundee Musicians’ Award

Applications Now Open for The Dundee Musicians’ Award. Staged by Leisure & Culture Dundee it was established in 2008 to support the work of outstanding Dundee-based musicians. Awards from £500 -£1000.

The Award was established in 2008 to support the work of outstanding Dundee-based musicians by awarding grants towards the costs involved in creating new work in any genre, research and professional development. Past winners include: Michael Marra, The Ruvellas, The Hazey Janes, The Mirror Trap, Fat Goth, Scary People, AMWWF, SHHE, Shaun Scott (rapper EUGENE), Stacey MacLeay, Charlotte Brimner(BeCharlotte) and many more.
In 2025/26 DMA will be offering Awards of £500 to a maximum of £1000

• £500 Early-Career Bursary for musicians that have been practicing for less than 5 years. This includes recent graduates (2019 or later) and those that have not studied music formally but have been performing for up to 5 years.

• £1,000 Bursary for musicians who have been performing for over 5 years, regardless of whether they have gone through formal education or not.
