Distil > CREATIVE WELLBEING & WOMAN’S CIRCLE

CREATIVE WELLBEING & WOMAN’S CIRCLE

McWOMEN Art & Wellbeing offer practical applied art and holistic workshops-courses that build wellbeing skills and knowledge. Working in sisterhood, we support growth through a weekly Women’s Circle.

McWOMEN safeguarded spaces offer physical expressive wellbeing skills and will require agreeing to guidelines. Emotional expression can be held within the body affecting health and creativity, our facilitators have experience in multiple techniques such as breathing, holistic health research, EQ, movement and expressive arts. Together we can explore creative methods, also rehearse skills like vocal projection, dealing with gaslighting or our own awareness. In collaboration with the group, we will explore and discuss any wellbeing or life themes in a confidential Woman’s Circle. The circle space is a witnessing and storytelling space where there are no experts! We transform and heal ourselves together.

McWOMEN is a co-supportive arts & wellbeing service, with women’s social-cultural awareness and women’s arts-historical understanding. Artists and women who have experienced inequalities are often left behind or excluded in the arts. Our research results showed the need for women’s creative wellbeing support is as important as equal access to Contemporary Arts. The Monday evening wellbeing work aims to connect with multi-generational female creatives and all women. We are taking action and you are invited.
McWOMEN who become members will also have access to our other Monday evening art workshops – and our Monday Evening Training Courses (Member cost is by weekly donation). All membership/event costs will be kept to a minimum.

Women and art/therapy students interested in research collaboration or placements are always welcome and we will work towards research studies, events and exhibitions, plus funding opportunities.
