Hands Up for Trad exists to promote Scottish traditional music through Education, Information and Advocacy to Artists, Audiences and Participants both Nationally and Internationally.
To strategically plan and grow the work of Hands Up For Trad we are starting this Patreon to ask if you can help support us in our work with a subscription. We love being part of Scottish traditional music and feel very lucky to be part of such a creative sector. As well as our many projects we provide mentoring and support for Scottish musicians to help them reach their goals, host very popular programmes including the Foot Stompin’ Podcast (over 1 million downloads) and Hands Up for Trad TV and celebrate achievement in our Landmark Awards which go to folk clubs, festivals etc who have been working in the industry for a long time.

Hands Up for Trad has two full time staff members and we are a Regularly Funded Organisation by Creative Scotland (Scotland’s national funding body). As you see from the list of projects below we achieve a lot for two staff members! If you were able to support us with a subscription to one of our tiers ($1, $5, $10) it would help consolidate the work we do. You can read the benefits of the tiers here.
