Calling all young fiddle players!

This is your chance to open the Saturday night concert of the Scots Fiddle Festibal 2018 which features Saltfishforty and the Kinnaris Quintet.

Scots Fiddle Festival are looking for talented young fiddlers / violinists aged 12-18 to be part of the Scots Fiddle Festival Youth Engagement Project (YEP) and perform at the Pleasance, Edinburgh, opening the concert on Saturday 17th November.

This year’s YEP tutor is Adam Sutherland, one of Scotland’s most exciting fiddle players, composers and teachers.

All workshops and performances will take place in Edinburgh. Participants may com from any part of Scotland as long as they can attend all workshop and performance dates.

Auditions – Sunday 2nd September

YEP Workshop dates (all full days):

  • Saturday 20th October
  • Sunday 21st October
  • Saturday 3rd November
  • YEP Performance date:
    • Saturday 17th November
      Rehearsal during the day (time to be confirmed.
