The National Piping Centre have launched a new series of workshops and sessions for bellows and whistles, coming this January during Celtic Connections.
From 26th – 29th January, The Pipers’ Tryst Sessions will run. These days are four days of workshops, group lessons and sessions, taught by world class bellows and whistle teachers, Finlay MacDonald, Ross Ainslie, Ailis Sutherland and Ciar Milne
This event will focus on bellows pipes and whistle playing and on the social environment of piping in the trad music world. In the late morning, there will be a two-hour block of lessons, followed by a soup & sandwich lunch (included in cost) in The Pipers’ Tryst, where the afternoon folk session will take place.
If you dont play whistle or bellows pipes, but play another instrument and would like to join in the session, we would like to welcome you along between 1pm-3pm over these days, to join in with playing with the session.
To attend the full workshop events it is £200 for all four days or choose individual days for £70 per day.
