We asked Anja of Raivelt a few questions about the band.
Tell us about your band
Raivelt is a newly formed, three-piece band made up of Rasmus Feld (whistle), Luca Sant Angelo (cello and bouzouki) and Anja MacLennan (guitar and bouzouki). The band all met whilst attending Fèis Rois residential weeks when they were still in school. Having all landed in Glasgow they decided to form a band. The name ‘Raivelt’ comes from the Doric word for tangled. As a band they are passionate about coming up with new arrangement ideas together, incorporating their signature groove into tunes from some of their favourite composers as well as their own tunes.
Who are the band members
Luca Sant Angelo – Cello, Bouzouki
Rasmus Feld – Wistles
Anja MacLennan – Guitar, Bouzouki
What are you hopes and aspirations for the band?
To continue playing gigs together, aiming to play at some of our favourite venues as well as abroad and to release an album.
