Arts Development Officer (Cromarty Arts Trust)

Based in the attractive, seaside town of Cromarty.

Hours and Salary: 17 Hours (two and a half days) per week for a salary of £11,500 per annum (full time equivalent £23,660 p.a.)

The Cromarty Arts Trust was established in 1987 in Cromarty on the Black Isle and operates a number of fine buildings (The Stables, Old Brewery and Ardyne) as the base for a very active arts and music programme. See the website www.cromartyartstrust.org.uk for further details.

The Arts Development Officer is a key player in the small team of part-time staff and trustees which runs these activities and buildings and will have particular responsibility for maintaining and developing the arts and music programme, grant applications and fundraising, targeted marketing, and managing the Trust’s website and social media.

Applicants should have some or all of the following attributes: Experience of developing and managing arts events and activities; a love of the arts in general, experience of grant applications and fund-raising; creative marketing skills required to maintain and develop the arts and music, programme; a good understanding of IT and social media (websites, Facebook, Twitter etc.); the ability to work in a small team, including trustees, volunteers and interns, and to manage budgets; a readiness to enjoy meeting and talking to guests and visitors and taking part in the Trust’s programme of events and activities; initiative, energy and enthusiasm.
