We were very happy to be involved with a celebration of the amazing Scottish artist and writer Alasdair Gray’s life on Tuesday 29th November in Glasgow’s Oran Mor. Hands Up for Trad’s involvement was in presenting a bursary of £500 to musician, composer and artist Jennifer Austin who plans to work on a new piece of music which will feature all her talents. This will hopefully be performed at Edinburgh’s Hidden Door Festival in 2017.
Congratulations to organiser Kevin Brown who organised the whole evening’s entertainment with lots of performers and a sold out hall. Alasdair Gray was in attendance and had a great time!
