Aberdeen “FluteFling” : Sat. 4th Nov. 2017

After 4 years of successful events in Edinburgh, the “FluteFling” is branching out and heading North to Aberdeen. Two highly respected flute players – Sharon Creasey, from Glasgow [ Boehm-system ], and special guest Davy Maguire from Belfast [ simple-system ], will share their knowledge of playing traditional Scottish and Irish music in classes over the course of the day, also performing at a concert of flute-playing in the evening [ see separate event ].
As well as the day’s tuition and concert, there will be a “welcome” session on Friday night, a “post-concert” session” and also a “Farewell” session on the Sunday lunchtime / early afternoon.

The concert and Friday / Saturday sessions will take place in the “Blue Lamp” in the Gallowgate.

Venue for the “Farewell” session has yet to be confirmed.

Full cost for classes : £50.00. Concessions : £40.00 – inclusive of entrance to the concert.
An online advance-booking facility will be added very soon – watch this space.

The organisers gratefully acknowledge financial assistance for this event provided by “Creative Scotland”, through the “Tasgadh” awards scheme administered by “Fèisean nan Gàidheal”.

Venue : “Musicrange”, 12 Shoe Lane, Aberdeen AB10 1AL
