Dosca’s debut release, DOSCA EP, has gathered steam in the folk and traditional scene throughout 2015. The EP has received a note worthy amount of airtime on numerous podcasts and radio stations in and around Glasgow, and has even been performed live on STV. The fifth track ‘Oblique’ has become a fan favourite.
After bursting onto the folk music scene at the 2015 Celtic Connections festival, Dosca, the energetic five piece folk ensemble of Bagpipes, Flute, Guitar, Bass and Drums are set to firmly cement themselves along side some of Scotland’s finest traditional acts, starting with their first release which combines influnces from their collective musical backgrounds.
Collectively, the members of Dosca have performed at sold out venues at the Celtic Connections and PIPING LIVE! festivals, The MG ALBA Scots Traditional Music Awards 2015, The Glasgow Royal Concert Hall, The Usher Hall, and have travelled to places such as Germany, Belgium, Amsterdam, Brazil, and Switzerland. With such experience and as graduates of The Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, they are not an act to miss.
Given the bands Irish and Scottish influences and it’s unique blend of Jazz and Folk, and with their Debut EP ‘DOSCA’ succesfully launched at a packed National Piping Centre this Spring, the boys are set to enthral Europe in the coming months.
