Fiddlers Rua MacMillan, Eryn Rae and Ellie McLaren will perform with pianist Rory Matheson for an hour in the studio and online! It will be amazing! Ellie was a student on the BA Applied Music with the University of the Highlands and Islands, graduating in August 2021 with a 1st class honours. She has been developing a strong professional profile as a Scottish fiddler and emerging composer and teacher, and has experience engaging with a range of audiences from local community halls, folk clubs to international tours and stadium performances with the likes of the Shetland group Hjaltibonhoga. Ellie has written for the National Youth Pipe Band of Scotland and Hands Up for Trad’s Rejuvenation Project at Celtic Connections festival in 2022.
