Using Music in Dementia Care Course

This half-day course will be of interest to anyone wishing to enhance and expand their use of music as a communication tool for adults living with dementia.

This course will involve creative music-making provide attendees with ideas and suggestions for meaningful interactions through effective music-making.
The training will look at ways in which music can enhance communication and encourage interaction for adults living with dementia. During the workshop, there will be opportunities to explore a variety of musical activities appropriate for use with both individuals and groups. Suggestions will be offered with regards to appropriate instruments to use with this particular client group.
