SHOWCASE SCOTLAND EXPO will present a showcase of Scottish artists and internationally renowned musicians at the second edition of The Visit. Taking place between the 8th and 11th of May in Paisley, Stirling and Edinburgh, The Visit is supported by Creative Scotland and produced in partnership with Paisley Abbey, the Tolbooth Theatre Stirling and the Queen’s Hall Edinburgh. Produced for the first time last year with a focus on North America and Canada, the Visit will in 2015 focus on France. Agents, festivals venues, record labels, managers and media will be invited to attend as delegates with a view to booking or reviewing Scottish artists. The Showcase forms part of an export strategy for Scottish artists which has been developed by the Showcase Scotland Expo Steering group and Creative Scotland.
We are seeking applications from artists to be selected to perform as part of the event. The application form below should be completed and emailed along with any supporting materials to showcasescotland@activeevents.org.uk. by 15th December 2014.
The Showcase Scotland Expo Panel will be selecting up to 18 artists to recommend artists to recommend to each promoter/venue panel who will then select the artists to perform.
The selected artists will be provided with travel expenses for each performance and where possible a small fee will be paid to assist with additional costs. Each artist will perform once for approximately 30 minutes.
Applicants are asked to complete the Showcase Scotland Expo, The Visit 2015 application form and return to showcasescotland@activeevents.org.uk by 15th December 2014.
