The Big Gig – 160 Young People performing in Aberdeen Music Hall, Saturday 17th June

Scottish Culture and Traditions Youth (SC&T Youth), based in Aberdeen, are delighted to be taking part in the Light the Blue Festival this June!

Over 160 children and young people will be taking part in The Big Gig in the Aberdeen Music Hall this Saturday 17th June.  This fantastic concert will consist of performances from 5 different musical organisations based in the North East, including SC&T Youth, Big Noise Torry, the Aberdeen City Music Service, Aberdeen Jazz Youth Group and Orchard Brae Makaton Choir.

Over the last two months, the young people involved have been busy learning some brand new material for a spectacular End of Concert Finale which has been written by the brilliant SC&T Youth tutor, Sharon Hassan, and commissioned specifically for the Big Gig!  Performed by young people from all 5 organisations, and made into a visual film by Station House Media Unit, it’ll be a magnificent way to round off an amazing concert!

With performances including Scottish Traditional, Jazz and Classical music, the concert will showcase the breadth and top class musical talent of youth from Aberdeen and the North East of Scotland.

Tickets are free, but have to be booked in advance – https://www.aberdeenperformingarts.com/whats-on/light-the-blue-youth-music-concert/
