This survey will be open until 5 February 2024.

How we will use your information

We will keep your feedback safe, secure and confidential. Read our privacy policy for more information.

We use the feedback you give us to improve our programmes, report back to funders and to tell people about the programme. Any comments we use in our marketing will be shared anonymously. If you have any questions email research@scottishbooktrust.com

About this survey

In the 2011 census 1.5 million people reported themselves as Scots speakers, and Education Scotland view engagement with Scots in the classroom as a vital part of ‘valuing the languages which children and young people bring to school’ (2009).

Scottish Book Trust are gathering information on the types of Scots activities undertaken in classrooms across Scotland, as well as teacher views of the benefits of and barriers towards teaching Scots in classrooms today. For an introduction to Scottish Book Trust’s ‘Scots in the Classroom’ research, see this article on our website.
