Scots Fiddle Festival 2024

The Scots Fiddle Festival was launched in 1996 with the aim of promoting and sustaining traditional Scots fiddle music. Every year, the Festival brings people together from all over the world – both performers and audience members – and continues to inspire thousands of people to enjoy and take part in traditional music each year. It is a Registered Charity and is run by a dedicated committee of volunteers.

The festival is back 15-17th November in Edinburgh’s Pleasance. This is the first Festival with Graham Rorie as Artistic Director. From Orkney, Graham performs with Gnoss around the world, teaches, plays gigs, recitals, tutors. He has produced a festival of top-quality artists, some familiar faces, and a good sprinkling from the next generation. We are delighted and lucky to have him.

The festival has a welcome return this year of Alasdair Fraser and Natalie Haas, headlining along with Grammy- nominated Scandinavian trio Northern Resonance, The Megan Henderson Trio, 2024 BBC Young Trad Musician of the Year Calum McIllroy alongisde Megan MacDonald and Chloe Bryce, and YEP. Add in an incredible lineup of recitals and amazing tutors for the workshops, and this year’s festival will be up there with the best.
