Royal Conservatoire of Scotland – September to December Traditional Music listings

29 Sep: The River By Hamish Napier

The River was Hamish Napier’s first solo album, commissioned as part of the Celtic Connections’ New Voices series, inspired by the river he grew up by, the Spey. Hamish is joined by many of Scotland’s top traditional musicians on stage to perform this album live.

26 Nov: St Andrews Day Celebration – Phil Cunningham Artistic Director with Jenn Butterworth, Students of the BMus Traditional Music programme, RCS Braw Brass, John Logan Conductor Plus special guests

Join BBC Radio Scotland and the RCS in a celebration for St Andrew’s Day. Musicians from the Traditional Music programme are joined by brass students and special guests for a night of folk-inspired music both new and old, presented by Jamie MacDougall.
