Nos Ùr – Scots and Gaelic song competition – closing date Monday 1st May

ScotSings_(red-gold)Hands Up for Trad’s 2016 Gaelic and Scots songwriting competition: Nòs Ùr (New Style), in partnership with Creative Scotland closes on Monday 1st May. Have you entered a song yet?

Gaelic and Scot’s Song writers, Singers and groups are invited to submit a new and original song in either language which will then be considered by an industry panel.

The winning song will be professionally arranged and recorded before being made available on iTunes, Apple Music, Spotify and Google Play. Additonally, the winning song will form part of the Scotland Sings – Renewing The Tradition Songbook after having undergone extensive workshop and performance opportunites at the Scotland Sings – Renewing The Tradition workshops in October 2016.

The closing date for entries is Monday 1st May 2016 and we can confirm that all the entries will be made available on Hands Up for Trad’s website www.musichub.scot. Musichub.
