Looking ahead at 2015

I love January! We’ve had our Christmas holidays and 2015 is a clean slate. At Hands Up for Trad we are always looking for new ideas and luckily we have plenty of them! They’re not all ours – we always request that people send us their ideas. Usually we just help them achieve them but sometimes we take them on and make it happen.

Over the next 12 months we still have all our usual exciting projects – BBC Radio Scotland Young Traditional Musician Award, Distil Showcase, Tinto Summer School Summer School, Scotland Sings, Scottish Traditional Music Hall of Fame, FolkWaves, Tinto Summer Schools, Scots Trad Music Awards and more. The Scots Trad Music Awards are heading to Dundee Caird Hall on the 5th December. Dundee has such rich culture and the Caird Hall is beautiful – it will be a brilliant experience for us!

There will also be new additions to our catalogue – new awards, new schools and opportunities to promote Scottish traditional music. It will be fun! If you have any ideas you would like to make happen why not get in touch.
