The organisation exists to promote Scottish traditional music through education, information and advocacy to artists, audiences and participants throughout Scotland and beyond.

Event Founder and Hands Up for Trad Creative Director, Simon Thoumire, said: “We’re thrilled to host the world’s first ever online trad festival. TradLive will be a jam-packed event with music and interviews from some of the best musicians in the Trad industry.

At Hands Up for Trad, we’re always looking for new ways to showcase the unbelievable talent we have here in Scotland. We’ve established a network of 140 countries with our monthly podcast and we wanted to give people the chance to enjoy some spectacular trad acts from the comfort of their homes but still be personal and interactive. Thus, TradLive was created.

It’s a free event, though we would ask that viewers make a charitable contribution instead of a ticket fee. Tune in and celebrate the debut of our brand new digital festival.”
