Background info

Edinburgh Youth Gaitherin’ Big Band delivers traditional music, singing, songwriting and band arranging workshops at Edinburgh Tradfest. Tinderbox SPARKS is an alternative youth orchestra for players aged S1- S6 who are grade 1- grade 5 (as a guide). For this course, we are teaming up for three workshops in Spring 2025. Come and learn tunes, song and arrangement with our excellent tutors Tom Oakes, Kate Young and Graeme Armstrong. All instrumentalists and singers are very welcome and you don’t need to have previous experience of trad music to get involved!
