The Daily Record has again promoted the 2015 Scottish Gaelic Awards with headline sponsors Bòrd na Gàidhlig.

The Scottish Gaelic Awards aims to reward all aspects of our Gaelic culture, education and language highlighting the excellent work undertaken to maintain growth and heritage. The event is a celebration embracing a variety of traditional and modern entertainment, which captures the imagination of the community.

The Awards were held in St Andrew’s in the Square, Glasgow on 18th November 2015.

The winners

Innovation in Education: Comhairle nan Eilean Siar (e-storas)
Arts & Culture Award: Pròiseact nan Ealan
Event Award: Blas Festival
Community, Heritage & Tourism: Ainmean-Àite na h-Alba
International Award: Ceolas
Young Gaelic Ambassador of the Year: Linda Macleod
Gaelic as an Economic Asset: Christine Rintoul
Sport Award: Cuach na Cloinne
Best Contribution Award: Professor John MacInnes
