We are four days into recording our debut album in Carrier Waves Studio, Glasgow. We have recorded nine out of the ten tracks which will be on the album. Monday was quite a difficult day as we ran into a lot of unforeseen problems in the studio and only managed to get half a track down! However, things have picked up since then, and we’re very happy to have managed to record all the fiddle, piano, flute and whistle parts for nine tracks.
Today we recorded the first of our guest musicians – Luc McNally on guitar, and tomorrow is bodhrán day – we have Paul Mc Clure coming into the studio for the day. We will also have a bassist, Cammy Maxwell, recording on several tracks at the end of April.
Whilst we’re recording, we are also promoting our Kickstarter campaign which we set up three weeks ago, in order to raise the remainder of the funds we need to make our album. It’s been going really well so far and we’re delighted with the amount of pledges we’ve had. It would be fantastic to raise as much as we possibly can to make our album a success. The Kickstarter fund will only come through if our minimum target is pledged by 26th April 2015 – so there’s still a little bit of time left to get your pledges in. There are lots of exciting rewards on offer for each pledge, large or small, so please do have a look through them. Thanks so much to everyone who has pledged so far, we’re very grateful for your support.

We’re very happy with how the tracks are sounding so far and can’t wait to have to finished album to share with you all.
Thanks a million,
G&T
