The Arts and Creative Learning Team, City of Edinburgh Council, would like to commission an experienced evaluator, with a good understanding of Youth Work, Creative Learning and music projects. The successful candidate will collaborate with young people, JET students, volunteers and colleagues to design the evaluation methodology. It is expected that young people will also be involved in developing a creative and engaging series of focus groups and data gathering sessions with participants, staff, partners and parents/carers.
The team is looking for someone who will work effectively with young people, helping to develop their skills, confidence and experience. This is an opportunity for a creative evaluator who has a strong ethos of pupil-led work, coupled with a clear and objective understanding of evaluative processes.
The successful applicant will be required to gather robust qualitative and quantitive evidence and to present an evaluation of the Youth Music Initiative in Edinburgh. The final report will highlight strengths of the programme and make recommendations for future development.
