Don’t miss BBC Radio Scotland Young Traditional Musician Award 2022 Finals. Sunday 6th February 5pm

Congratulations to the 6 finalists of the BBC Radio Scotland Young Traditional Musician Award 2022. It was a great few days listening to all 12 semi-finalists playing beautiful music from all over Scotland. Each of the semi-finalists performed to a really high level and it was a really difficult job for the musicians to come to their decision. The finalists are:

Breanna Wilson – fiddle (Glasgow)
Eryn Rae – fiddle (Scottish Borders)
Malachy Arnold – clarsach (Glasgow)
Malin Lewis – pipes (Skye)
Saffron Hanvidge – song (Inverness)
Sophie Joint – piano (Glasgow)

The BBC Radio Scotland Young Traditional Musician Award will be held at Celtic Connections in the City Halls, Glasgow on Sunday 6th February at 5pm (GMT). As ever it will be an amazing concert with fabulous music. Buy a ticket here or listen live on BBC Radio Scotland or watch live on BBC ALBA. Keep up with the latest info at www.bbc.co.uk/youngtrad
