Adam Sutherland School of Fiddle Glasgow 21st April 2017

The Adam Sutherland School of Fiddle returns to Sloans in Glasgow city centre on April 22nd and 23rd 2017.

Join Adam for a weekend school that emphasises creativity, tune writing, technique and fun! Adam has years of experience working with fiddlers of all ages and ability. Learning with Adam will feature opportunities to learn tunes, explore the vastness of music, discuss learning challenges, play in a session and attend a concert featuring Adam and special guests (TBA) on Saturday evening.

This course is suitable for intermediate and advanced fiddle players. All tunes will be taught by ear, but sheet music will be provided at the end of the course. Attendees are encouraged to bring a recording device and an open mind. Attendees of all ages are welcome, there are not age restrictions from the venue. Cellos and violas also welcome!

Venue
The weekend course will take place in the Grand Ballroom at Sloan’s in the centre of Glasgow. All events during the weekend will take place at this location.

Sloan’s is located next to St Enoch SPT Underground (3 minutes walk) and Glasgow Central Station (5 minutes walk). Sloan’s is also easily accessible from Glasgow Queen Street (6 minutes walk) and Buchanan Street SPT Underground (6 minutes walk). The nearest bus station is Argyll Arcade (1 minute walk), which serves numerous bus services.

The weekend course will run from April 22nd to 23rd at Sloan’s in St Enoch.

Saturday, April 22nd
10:00 – 11:15 Morning Tuition
11:15 – 11:45 Break
11:45 – 13:00 Morning Tuition
13:00 – 14:00 Lunch
14:00 – 15:15 Afternoon Tuition
15:15 – 15:45 Break
15:45 – 16:30 Afternoon Tuition
16:30 Bar Open!!
19:00 Concert with Adam Sutherland and Guests (included)
20:30 – 01:00 Course Members Trad Session

Sunday, April 23rd
10:00 – 11:15 Morning Tuition
11:15 – 11:45 Break
11:45 – 13:00 Morning Tuition
13:00 – 14:00 Lunch
14:00 – 15:15 Afternoon Tuition

Fees
The weekend fiddle course will cost £80, payable when you register for the course.
