Wine O’Clock by Marie Fielding

Marie-FieldingFeaturing Marie Fielding on Fiddle, Tom Orr on accordion, Donogh Hennessy on guitars, Trevor Hutchinson on double bass, this is Track 1 from Marie’s new album An Seisiun. Recorded in Dingle, there are 11 tracks with guests including Damien Mullane, Pauline Scanlon, Jimmy Higgins and Laura Kerr.

A nominee for Best Album at Na Trads 2013, Marie Fielding is a fiddler, composer and fiddle lecturer, based in Falkirk. Marie teaches at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, as well as The Tolbooth Stirling and has private students. Her influences range from Scottish Dance Band music and Irish to pipe tunes and gaelic song. Her compositions are broadcast regularly on radio and TV and Marie has guested on over 70 albums. With the release of a 2nd tune book, Marie has released her 3rd album on her record label, recorded in Dingle. Alongside projects with Kuljit Bhamra, John Rae and a baroque fiddle ensemble, Marie is just as happy playing for dancing in the local village hall.
