‘Rest and be Thankful’ by Alistair Ogilvy

IMG_0294‘Rest and be Thankful’ is a track taken from Alistair’s upcoming album. The track features Alistair’s core band who are Kristan Harvey on fiddle ‘Blazin Fiddles’ and Kieran Heather on guitar ‘Washington Irving’ Louis Abbott on production ‘Admiral Fallow’

Rest and be Thankful is inspired by an atmospheric picture of Alistair’s paternal grandparents looking out to a road race rally at the rest and be thankful ‘Drovers Road’

Alistair is a singer and musician from Glasgow. He has recently finished recording his second album of all original material partly funded by Creative Scotland. Along with his core band Kieran Heather and Kristan Harvey, Alistair inlisted the musical talents of some very special friends. At the helm Louis Abbott ‘Admiral Fallow’ was on production and percussion, plus special guests apperances from film composer Craig Armstrong and singer Karen Matheson, Jerry Burns and Siobhan Wilson.
