Mera’s Delight by Rachel Hair & Ron Jappy

Three Jigs – The first was written by the great tunesmith and musician Fraser Shaw, who is sadly no longer with us. He wrote this beautiful tune for the fine Co. Cavan fiddler, Grainne Brady.
For years, Rachel has battled with google rankings after a certain hairstyle in an American sitcom. Therefore, The Name- sake is for Jennifer Anniston…
Mera’s Delight is in celebration of the fantastic achievement by Rachel’s harp student Mera Royle, after being crowned BBC Radio Young Folk Award winner in 2018.

From crisp strathspeys and heartfelt airs, to virtuosic reels and driving jigs, world-renowned Scottish harpist Rachel Hair and acoustic guitarist Ron Jappy have combined their influences to embrace the rich cultural tradition of Scotland.
