FARA are a powerhouse in the Scottish folk music scene, igniting stages with their magnetic blend of spellbinding vocals, intricate harmonies, and driving fiddle tunes rooted in the rich tradition of the Orkney Islands. Individually they have collaborated with the cream of Scottish music, including Siobhan Miller, Belle and Sebastian and Nicola Benedetti. With three critically acclaimed albums, FARA have continued to widen their reach, both artistically and geographically, drawing in strands of Classical, Appalachian, Jazz and Indie-pop influence, whilst growing the band’s fanbase across Europe, North America, Asia and Australia.

Ímar are a Celtic supergroup, with a line-up featuring current and former members of Mànran, Mec Lir, RURA and Talisk.
Having met as teenagers through Comhaltas Ceoltóirí Éireann, the Irish traditional music network that tutors budding players, Ímar have now won many awards, notably the BBC Radio 2 Folk Award for Best Emerging Act 2018. Based in Glasgow, the Scottish/Irish/Manx alliance have been delighting audiences since 2016, with their vibrant blend of music from fiddle, bouzouki, uillean pipes, flute, whistle, bodhran and guitar. Ímar’s trademark zest are evident in their recent third album, Awakening, and their concerts are renowned for a high energy atmosphere that captures the spirit of the very best of Scotland’s lively traditional music scene.
With concerts across the UK this autumn, Ímar perform one of only two Scottish dates at Corn Exchange, Haddington on Friday 30th October.
