The Caird Hall Gathering is a celebration of youth music across Scotland taking place at Caird Hall, Dundee on Saturday 12th April from 11am- 6pm.
Bringing together a mix of young bands and ensembles, youth music groups, teachers and musicians from around Scotland. It will be a chance for young musicians, teachers and others working in youth music to meet each other, make connections and see some of the amazing creative work and music around the country.
There will be a mix of performances, workshops, massed band events, open-mic and jam sessions. Young people and teachers can participate in the workshops, open-mics and performances, or just watch, spend time together and enjoy the music!
For music teachers and those working in youth music, there will also be a networking space for stalls to share information about projects, and a space in the programme over lunch for some presentations and a chance for practioners to meet and share their work. See the section below for more details.
The event is free for all to attend.
It is open to friends and families of participating groups, and to teachers, tutors and youth music practitioners who want to meet, share practice and hear about what is going on in youth music around the country. We would also love to have any music students or recent graduates along who might be interested in working in youth music too.
