Sponsor a category at the MG ALBA Scots Trad Music Awards 2026

On Saturday 5th December, the Lagoon Centre in Paisley hosts Scotland’s biggest night for traditional music. Produced by Hands Up for Trad, the MG ALBA Scots Trad Music Awards recognise the artists, musicians and industry figures shaping Scottish traditional music and culture. This year’s line-up includes Gnoss, Valtos, Sian, Spodo Komodo, Rachel Groves (BBC Radio Scotland Young Trad Musician 2026) and The Paisley Fèis.

The Awards are also the sector’s essential networking night, bringing together artists, producers, venues, festivals, media and cultural policymakers. Public voting generates over 100,000 votes a year across 22 categories, and the ceremony reaches national and international audiences live and on BBC ALBA.

Two categories are still available to sponsor:

  • Venue of the Year
  • Industry Person of the Year

What sponsors receive

  • Present your award live on stage to the winner
  • Your name on the 2026 recycled whisky barrel awards
  • 2 premium seats at the event, with priority access to book more for stakeholders and partners
  • An invitation to the pre-show Hall of Fame Reception, hosted by Renfrewshire Council
  • Profile across our website, e-newsletters and social channels, with a combined reach of 120,000+
  • Your sponsorship highlighted throughout the public nomination and shortlisting votes
  • Inclusion in all press activity, print and broadcast, led by Corrie Campbell Communications
  • Press photography of you and the winner for your own use
  • Access for you and your guests to the after-show Ceilidh

Public longlisting runs from 5th to 18th October and shortlisting from 2nd to 15th November, so sponsors are visible well before the night itself.
